Hats, Hats, and more Hats

I love hats! A great hat is something that every women should have in her closet. A good hat can make a good outfit a great outfit.

The hat is making a come back in the world of fashion. The main two hats that have been seen on alot of runways are the Cloche hat and the Driver cap.

The Cloche hat is fitted, bell-shaped hat that was first popular in the 1920s. The Cloche hat was created by Caroline Reboux.

In the late 1980s, it made a minor come back do to models like Patrick Kelly. Then again in 2007, being in Elle magazine. Now again in 2009.

Driver caps are also called Flat caps.

The style can be traced back to the 14th century Britian and Ireland. When Irish and English immigrants came to America, they brought the Driver cap with them.

This style has remained popular among certain groups of people in Europe and North America. But long forgotten in the fashion world until a couple of seasons ago. Beening seen in Ralph Lauren runway show for this Spring 2010 collection.
