A blazer is a type of jacket, worn as a smart casual clothing choose. The term blazer is used as a synonym for boating, sports jacket but are neither. The term blazer started with the red 'blazers' of the Lady Marganet Boat Club, the rowing club of St. John's College, Cambridge. The Lady Marganet jackets were termed blazers because of their bright red 'blazing' color.
